Eloping on Top of the World | A Merry-Go-Round Rock Adventure Elopement in Sedona
Some love stories are meant to unfold under the open sky—with dirt on your boots and wind in your hair. These two brides knew deep down that a big, traditional wedding wasn’t for them. Instead of seating charts and centerpieces, they craved freedom. So they did something bold: they followed their true desires and chose an adventurous elopement in Sedona, Arizona.
A Jeep, a Dream, and a View to Remember
As their Adventure Elopement Photographer, I had the privilege of documenting every wild and beautiful moment. We started the journey by renting a Jeep from Red Rock Rubicon Jeep Rentals Sedona, which is the perfect way to access one of Sedona’s most iconic elopement spots—Merry-Go-Round Rock.
The road to Merry-Go-Round Rock is no joke. It’s bumpy, steep, and seriously rugged. But that’s part of what makes this location so magical—it’s not easy to get to, and that makes it feel even more sacred. By the time we reached the top, the sun was starting to dip low, bathing the red rocks in golden light. It truly felt like we were standing on the edge of the world.
Eloping for the Right Reasons
These brides reminded me of why I love being a Sedona photographer. They tossed aside every “should” and “supposed to” and made space for what felt right to them. No pressure. No performance. Just love, laughter, and the breathtaking silence of nature all around.
As a Merry-Go-Round Elopement Photographer, I’ve seen how this location brings something special out of people. Maybe it’s the vast views or the way the sun paints the landscape in fiery reds and soft pinks. Maybe it’s just that feeling of being above it all. Whatever it is, Merry-Go-Round Rock is the perfect place to say, “I do,” your way.
A Day That Was Entirely Theirs
They exchanged vows overlooking the sweeping canyons of Sedona, surrounded only by nature and each other. Every moment was authentic, every smile real, and every photo captured the spirit of their decision—to love boldly and live freely.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
